The Santa Clause 3 is a sequel to The Santa Clause 2, which revolved around an obscure clause in Santa’s contract to deliver toys to kids around the world on Christmas Eve. The clause stipulated that Santa could not continue to be Santa unless he got married within seven years of accepting his job at the North Pole. But Santa was much too busy making and delivering toys to worry very much about finding a bride. The plot thickened when Santa's elves (Spencer played Elf No. 2) invented a machine that could make a copy of Santa, so Santa’s stand-in could stay at the North Pole while the real Santa left the North Pole to go and find a wife. While the real Santa was gone, the the bogus Santa decided to take over permanently. He created an army of life-sized toy soldiers, using the same machine that had created him. The climax was an all-out madcap battle between the fake Santa's toy-soldier army and the elves. In The Santa Clause 3, Santa (Tim Allen) is faced with a new challenge: how to keep his new family happy, and how to stop Jack Frost from taking over Christmas. The director is Michael Lembeck, and the writers are Ed Decter and John J. Strauss. Spencer will play Curtis, the Experimental Elf. Other stars who have been signed up for the project include Ann-Margaret, Alan Arkin, Darian Bryant, Ridge Canipe, and Madeline Carroll.
